BeDose only processes the data necessary to manage the site, pre-orders and orders, payments, delivery, after-sales service and, with your consent where required, marketing communications and non-essential cookies.

This policy explains how BeDose collects, uses, retains and protects your personal data when you browse www.bedose.eu, place a pre-order or order, contact customer service, sign up to commercial communications or otherwise interact with BeDose.

It is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and the applicable Belgian rules on data protection and electronic communications.

The data controller is Marine Emmery, sole trader operating the BeDose brand and trade name, registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 1007.076.863.

BeDose has not appointed a data protection officer, as this is not required for the processing activities currently carried out.

2. Data we may collect

Depending on your use of the site and your relationship with BeDose, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Identification and contact data: first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number and, where applicable, company name.
  • Delivery and billing data: address, postcode, city, country, information required to issue an invoice and VAT number where applicable.
  • Pre-order and order data: products, colours, quantities, options, amount, discounts, date, order status, returns, exchanges and warranty requests.
  • Payment data: amount, date, status, transaction identifier and limited information provided by the payment provider. BeDose does not receive or store your full card number.
  • Communication data: content of e-mails, forms, support requests, reviews, complaints and exchanges with customer service.
  • Professional data: company, position, business number, VAT number and information useful for managing a relationship with a reseller or partner.
  • Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, technical logs, pages visited and cookie-related information, depending on your choices.
  • Marketing preferences: newsletter subscription or unsubscription, proof and date of consent where required.

4. Source of data

Data is mainly obtained directly from you when you fill in a form, place a pre-order or order, make a payment, contact BeDose or subscribe to a communication.

Some data may also be provided by our technical, payment or delivery providers, or by a professional partner in connection with a request you have initiated.

5. Recipients and providers

Your data is only accessible to those who need it to carry out their duties. It may be shared, to the extent necessary, with the following categories of recipients:

  • Hosting, development and site maintenance providers, including the technical services used to operate bedose.eu.
  • Stripe and the institutions involved in secure payment processing.
  • E-mail sending and customer relationship management providers.
  • Carriers, logistics providers and partners necessary for order preparation and delivery.
  • Accountant, professional advisers, insurers and providers responsible for compliance or defending BeDose’s rights.
  • Public, administrative or judicial authorities where required by law.
  • Audience measurement or advertising providers only when these tools are activated and, where necessary, after your consent.

BeDose does not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Payments via Stripe

Online payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure environment. BeDose does not store or have access to the full card number or its security code.

Stripe may process certain data as a payment provider and, for some operations required by financial regulations, as a separate data controller. Stripe’s processing is also governed by its own privacy policy.

7. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technical providers may process data from countries outside the European Economic Area. When this happens, BeDose ensures that the transfer is based on a mechanism recognised by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or any other appropriate safeguard.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

The site may use cookies and similar technologies to ensure it works, remember your choices, secure payments, measure audience or offer tailored content and advertising.

Strictly necessary cookies may be placed without consent. Non-exempt audience measurement, advertising and social media cookies are only activated after your consent.

You can accept, refuse or change your choices at any time via the cookie management module available on the site. Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent access to the shop’s essential features.

9. Commercial communications

Where required by law, BeDose only sends commercial communications with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each e-mail or by writing to contact@bedose.eu.

Messages strictly necessary for managing a pre-order, order, payment, delivery, return or support request are not commercial communications and may be sent to perform the contract or respond to your request.

10. Data security

BeDose implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These include limiting access, using recognised providers, secure connections and appropriate backup and control measures.

No IT system can guarantee absolute security. BeDose regularly assesses risks and adapts its measures when necessary.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: to know whether we process your data and obtain a copy.
  • Right to rectification: to have inaccurate data corrected or incomplete data completed.
  • Right to erasure: to request deletion of data when no legal ground justifies keeping it.
  • Right to restriction: to request temporary suspension of certain processing.
  • Right to object: to object to processing based on legitimate interest for reasons relating to your particular situation, and to object at any time to direct marketing.
  • Right to data portability: to receive certain data you provided in a structured, machine-readable format, where the legal conditions are met.
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing producing legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.

To exercise a right, send your request to contact@bedose.eu stating the subject of your request. BeDose may ask for the minimum information necessary to verify your identity. A response will be sent within the period provided for by law, normally within one month of receiving the request.

12. Complaint to the Data Protection Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority if you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with the regulations.

13. Data relating to minors

BeDose products may be used in a parenting context, but the site and shop are intended for adults. BeDose does not knowingly collect personal data directly from minors. Any order must be placed by a person legally capable of entering into a contract.

14. Links to third-party sites and social networks

The site may contain links to third-party platforms or sites, including social networks. When you leave bedose.eu, the processing of your data is governed by the policy of the service concerned. BeDose is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

15. Changes to this policy

BeDose may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or commercial developments. The applicable version is the one published on the site, with its update date. In the event of a significant change, appropriate information may be displayed on the site or sent to the persons concerned when necessary.
